Hilton Head Island Museums

The Coastal Discovery Museum was founded to teach visitors and locals about the natural history and cultural history of Hilton Head Island. It is on the 68 acre historic Honey Horn Plantation with a visitor center remodeled from the original plantation home. The museum grounds have salt marshes, open fields and stands of old oaks with Spanish moss. There is an exhibit gallery and gift shop. The museum has special programs year round about specific wildlife on our Island and beaches and historical tours of Hilton Head Island and Honey Horn Plantation.
