All homes and villas on Hilton Head Island are privately owned and equipped for basic vacation needs. The kitchens are furnished with pots, pans, cooking utensils and dinnerware. All bedding and bath towels are provided up to the maximum number of guests in each home or villa. Also included are iron, ironing board and small kitchen appliances (i.e. blender, mixer, coffee pot and toaster).
When guests arrive, they will find a starter supply of cleaning products. This includes a small bar of soap in each bathroom and a double roll of toilet paper. In the kitchen you will find a small bottle of liquid dish detergent for hand washing and a small box, enough for one load, of dishwasher and laundry detergent.
You can bring more dishwasher and laundry detergent and dryer sheets from home. However, the grocery stores in the tourist areas do sell dishwasher pods and laundry pods (20-pack) for less than $5 each. They also sell small bottles of ketchup, mustard and salt, enough for your stay. You might want to pack coffee filters and small spices in your suitcases if you plan to cook a lot.
If you are driving you might want to bring beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. If you are flying here, the big box discount stores carry beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, pool toys, etc. at very inexpensive prices. You may also want to pack sunscreen, bug spray and hair dryers for your comfort.
If you manage to forget anything, Hilton Head Island has everything available in our shops and grocery stores.
